🧮 The boys are starting to learn their times ta 🧮 The boys are starting to learn their times tables. Generally they’re good at memorising things but what they’re learning, has to be fun and engaging. And they remember best when they can make associations. I’ve added in something different for each multiplication equation. For the 3 times table it’s fruit and for the 4 times table it’s vegetables. So for example, they’ll say: “One times three is three apples. Two times three is six blueberries” and so on. I have these two printables for download on my site. Just click the link in my bio, sign up and download. There are also other resources and even unit studies too. How do your kids learn their times tables?

This is a typical Friday at our house. Kids are in This is a typical Friday at our house. Kids are in their onesies and are on their laptops. Fridays are sacred for the boys. It doesn’t matter if holidays and observances fall on Friday (like Christmas or New Year), because Friday is ‘laptops and pizza’ day. It’s a day they get to do what they want. This could be playing games or watching silly YouTube videos. And it ends off with homemade pizza. They cling to these little routines because it makes them feel safe. So this year I’m planning on adding in more. What are you up to today?
