How to ace an eye exam for kids
The boys look super cute in glasses. And I often wonder if they’re going to need glasses like me. The only way to find out is to do an eye exam for kids. And here my heart sinks a bit because I know how much prep this is going to take! Having special needs kids is amazing. But it also means that everything can be a bit more complicated. Getting out of the house is usually a military operation. And doing something like going to the dentist or the optometrist, could take a lot more planning than that. But it is necessary and it is possible. So this is my game plan:
- Find an optometrist that has experience with special needs kids.
- Speak to the boys about what the eye exam for kids will entail.
- Show them videos about it.
- Give them a countdown to the day.
- Offer an AMAZING reward!
- Give it a go.
