🎙 On today’s episode of the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms, I chat to Lenora Edwards about language development in young children, tweens and teens. Lenora is a ASHA Board Certified Speech Language Pathologist and Chief Knowledge Officer with Better Speech. Since obtaining her CCC’s in 2010, she has worked with individuals of all ages from little ones who are learning to understand and express themselves to adults who want to improve their speaking skills and become a more fluent and effective communicator. It was really interesting to hear about the timeline of a child’s language development and to learn about signs of possible speech delays. 🎙 On the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms, I speak to Lila J. Wohlwend. Lila is a best-selling author, investor, business owner, and homeschooling mom. She and her husband integrated family, business, and investing. Their kids started investing and buying real estate at age 7 without using any of their parent’s money or credit.
Lila now helps other families recognize their own kids’ ability to do more than they imagined, so they can also achieve amazing results at any age. Family Success Triangle is the book she and her husband wrote to teach other parents the lessons they used to raise limitless kids.

🇦🇺 I read the sweetest book by Tom and Ninon @theglobedwellers called Poss O’Malley: The Lamington Detective. I read the eBook but there is a paperback version too. 🦘 It’s set in Australia and is full of cool animals, mystery and cake! And there are life lessons to learn along the way too! 📚 I highly recommend getting the teaching resources as well, because it will give you a comprehensive unit study for the book. It’s perfect for kids aged 7 to 10. 🌍 Be sure to follow Tom, Ninon and their 3 kids as they travel the world. Michele helps homeschooling parents take on the high school years with confidence! The training and tools she provides through her company @homeschooldirective are the result of years of experience both homeschooling each of her 8 children through high school and coaching hundreds of parents of teens through the homeschool co-op she created and ran for over 20 years. Michele and her husband Ed live in Northern Illinois but love traveling to visit their 12 grandkids. I learnt so much from speaking to Michele! Homeschooling high school can be stressful, but she makes it seem much more manageable. I love that she advocates for not changing the way you homeschool high school, but rather adapting it to achieve your child’s graduation goals.
