Sweat Away Homeschool Mom Burnout with these Fun Workouts

Homeschool mom burnout is a very real thing. And it can happen very easily. For me, it often feels like there’s no break. What with homeschooling, housekeeping, cooking, working, spending time with hubby and having a tiny semblance of me-time, there are nowhere near enough hours in the day.

Homeschool Mom Burnout Be Gone!

One thing that I’ve learnt to prioritize, is working out. It’s really been my saving grace when times are tough. My kids can be reluctant learners, so it’s super easy to get frustrated and fed up. If I end up shouting at my kids, I know it’s time to take a breather. And a quick 30 minute sweat sesh is just the ticket.

I try to get my sweat on at least 5 to 6 times a week because it’s vital for my mental health. That being said, I need a lot of motivation to manage this. I know I’m going to feel better but this mama is a lifelong member of the always tired club.

Spice It Up!

One way that I stay motivated, is to change my exercise up as much as possible. I’ve used the Nike Run Club app for years. I love to see my accumulated kilometres! It brings out the competitive side in me. Sometimes I run for a certain distance or time or download one of their guided runs. The coaches are really motivating and I love being able to listen to my favourite tunes too.

When I’m really tired or stiff, then yoga is my go-to workout. I use the Yoga Studio app, which has lots of different classes and levels. The free version is great, but if you upgrade, there are loads of specialty classes for specific aches and pains or goals.

Lastly, when I need a real energetic and fun session, I use some of POPSUGAR Fitness’ 30 minute workouts. They have so many different types to choose from, so it’s perfect for keeping it spicy and exciting. Below are 2 of my absolute favourites. I adore Raineir because he’s hilarious and the time just flies.
